Born and brought up in Zimbabwe, marriage in 1979 to my husband introduced me to Bembridge and the Island.  Although our working lives were based in London, Bembridge has always been home.  The advent of Covid and lockdown(s) precipitated plans to move permanently to the Island, and this combined with retirement in May 2022, meant that I wanted to contribute more to village life – hence standing for election in 2021.  I believe in the four Cs: Community, Communication, Co-operation and Collaboration, and with the depth of skills and expertise so prevalent in the individuals and organisations in the Village, much can be accomplished to improve facilities and amenities to the benefit of all.
