Bembridge Parish Council are hoping to make Bembridge in Bloom a much bigger event this year and alongside the competition for individuals and businesses, they are hoping to make the whole village bloom during the month of June. We have entered the Britain in Bloom, Southeast region competition for the first time. Judging will take place at some point in June up to mid-July.
There is a new category this year for juniors (16 and under) – Best Junior Garden in a Sustainable Container. There is a free workshop to create one of these at the Village Hall on May 17th 10am -12pm. Of course they can also be created at home and then entered into the competition.
Application forms for the event can be found here or in person from the Parish Council office or Bembridge Community Library. Closing date for entries is 21st June with judging to take place on June 28th.
