Dates for primary and secondary school admissions |
The Isle of Wight Council has confirmed the dates that parents will be able to register their children for primary and secondary school admissions, for the September 2025 school year. |
Due to the recent school place planning communication, there will be a slight delay in parents being able to register their children for primary school places. Secondary school admissions will be live from September as usual. Transferring to Secondary School September 2025– opens Monday 16 September 2024 and closes midnight Thursday 31 October 2024. National Offer Day – Monday 3 March 2025 Starting Primary School September 2025 – opens Monday 18 November 2024 and closes midnight Wednesday 15 January 2025. National Offer Day – Wednesday 16 April 2025 Councillor Jonathan Bacon, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services and Education said ‘The decision has been made to postpone the date for primary school admissions this year to allow extra time to support school staff through the sensitivities of this process. The Isle of Wight Council today (Monday, 16 December) launches a public consultation to give Islanders the opportunity to have
