Thursday 18th April in the village hall saw us deliver another successful CPR (Coronary Pulmonary Resuscitation) training session this time for the Bembridge Men in Sheds group and some of their partners. This was the third such event which we’ve been running in conjunction with the local Community First Responder Murray Clark, providing the opportunity for attendees to learn how to deliver CPR to an unconscious patient and to use one of the AED (Automatic Electronic Defibrillators) situated at key locations around the community.
As a part of our Community Resilience Project provision of these training sessions now means that we have around 50 members of the community who now know how to provide potential lifesaving assistance in this kind of situation.
Further training sessions are to be arranged in due course so please keep an eye out for the posters!
